14 March 2017 – Last Saturday, 11 March saw Laceface playing at the dARK aMBULANCE experimental/improv mini music festival at The Record Crate in Glebe, Sydney.

It was an eclectic event organised by The Rich Machine and Mondeau Fondue, beginning at 3pm going through until very late that night. Laceface was asked when she wanted to play. She said she didn’t mind, so that meant she ended up being the opening act. It’s always fun to get out at play, no matter where/when so Laceface was happy. In fact, as Laceface does not enjoy being rushed along, being first up is ideal as she had plenty of time to set up and relax beforehand. She was even able to have a delicious Cappuccino with a straw, made by the Rich Machine himself. Possibly the best coffee she’s had all year.

Poor Laceface. Her head actually works like a whirligig when she steps out in public, and when she starts a gig, it’s downright impossible for her to think straight. She has very little control over what she does. Even a short set requires a set list, so she doesn’t forget what songs she’s actually written.

Setlist:
Thunderbolts Way
Principles of Cosmicism and the Concept Of Nothing
Lampyridae Glow
Bolt on Neck (a Frankenstein Brothers cover – Buckethead and That One Guy)
Sunflowers
I Come In Pieces

Here are some live bits from Laceface’s performance at The Record Crate, Sat 11 March 2017.

All over too soon. Laceface wonders where her next gig will be. Perhaps she’ll just have to concentrate on her next Hodgepodge instead. She’s very excited as she’s planning on covering Bolt On Neck.
