Hello 🌻
The silt on Hodgepodge 4 has been washed away in a recent downpour. The result is that it’s so nice and clean that I’ve finally decided to get it up on Spotify and other streaming platforms after all these years.
Hodgepodge 4 Remastered will be released on 28 February 2022.
All the songs are mostly the same, apart from it being a much more pleasant overall experience to the ear. Some of these tracks were extremely sharp to the taste to begin with, so the easier on the ear, the better. There was a time that I liked Enamelinium to grate on one’s teeth, but mellowing with age, I’m happy for it to be appreciated for my once hidden improvised cello shredding instead. Now you can hear every note, which will be great if I ever decide to do it live as I wonder what I did when I recorded it. There are also a few little harmonic additions, so you’ll have to listen carefully for where I might have put those. Tee hee.
Hodgepodge by name and nature, Hodgepodge 4 contains extreme experimental avant garde cello experiences and the ultimate yearning love song Stitch, titled after the feeling of physical pain you get when you’re exercising too, much too quickly, and accidental sewing disasters of the heart.
Also included is my version of the Buckethead and That One Guy song called Bolt on Neck with the extended cello avant garde Whammy jam in the middle.
Hodgepodge 4 Remastered’s cover art has also been slightly changed with a new golden glow to differentiate from the original release found on Bandcamp.
Lots of love,
Laceface 🌻💛
